Shining on the Silk Road, Powering the Future with Green | Zoom Solar Green Energy Technology Debuts at the 9th Silk Road Expo

On May 21, 2025, the 9th Silk Road International Expo and China East-West Cooperation and Investment and Trade Fair, themed "Silk Road Integration, Open Cooperation," grandly opened at the Xi'an International Convention and Exhibition Center. As a key showcase for innovative cooperation along the Silk Road Economic Belt, this expo focused on the coordinated development of global green technology and industry. With a total exhibition area of approximately 70,000 square meters, it featured six exhibition areas: Silk Road Premium Products, Low-Altitude Economy, Science and Technology Innovation, Cultural Tourism and Consumption, Inter-Provincial Cooperation, and Transportation and Logistics.



The "Specialized, Advanced, and Innovative Exhibition," hosted by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, was located in Hall 4 and covered 500 square meters. 
It focused on the achievements of the Qinchuangyuan Innovation-Driven Platform, scientific and technological achievement transformation projects, and technological breakthroughs by specialized, advanced, and innovative enterprises. Zoom Solar Green Energy Technology, a representative high-tech enterprise, showcased two innovative achievements: cadmium telluride (CdTe) and perovskite thin-film photovoltaic modules. Its innovative technologies exemplified "new quality productivity" and contributed to the achievement of the "dual carbon" goals.



Zoom Solar Green Energy Technology (Xi'an) Co., Ltd. specializes in the research, development, and production of cadmium telluride and perovskite thin-film solar cells.Research focuses on the conversion efficiency, stability, and industrialization of thin-film solar cells.In October 2024, Zoom Solar Green Energy Technology (Xi'an) Co., Ltd. was selected as a pilot enterprise for the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's new manufacturing technology transformation program and a designated enterprise for the industrialization of key core technologies for perovskite thin-film solar cells in our province.



Technological Breakthroughs Currently, the conversion efficiency of a single-cell cadmium telluride thin-film solar cell device has reached 17.16%, the efficiency of a single-cell perovskite thin-film solar cell device has reached 26.6%, and the efficiency of a 30×30 cm² perovskite final test module has reached 20.78%, reaching world-leading levels.



Cadmium Telluride Thin-Film Modules As a new generation of green building materials, cadmium telluride solar glass has become a major force in the green energy sector due to its high photoelectric conversion efficiency, excellent light transmittance, and wide range of applications.It currently holds the highest market share for thin-film photovoltaic modules, accounting for over 95% of all thin-film modules.


1. Champion of Low-Light-Energy Generation: Cadmium telluride (CdTe) is a direct-gap material with excellent absorption across the entire spectrum. It can still generate electricity efficiently in low-light conditions such as early morning, evening, and rainy or snowy days, with an average daily power generation output 5-10% higher than crystalline silicon.

2. Stable High-Temperature Performance: Its temperature coefficient is approximately -0.19%/°C, compared to -0.45%/°C for crystalline silicon cells. In hot regions (such as deserts), its efficiency degradation is minimized, resulting in a significant performance advantage.

3. Revolutionary Architectural Aesthetics: An ideal choice for building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), CdTe solar glass can be customized in size and transmittance, transforming skyscrapers into "vertical power stations."
