National Energy Administration: Photovoltaics Included in the 2023 Energy Industry Standards Plan as a Key Project Area

On March 15, 2023, the General Office of the National Energy Administration issued a notice regarding the issuance of the "2023 Energy Industry Standards Plan Project Guidelines" (hereinafter referred to as the Project Guidelines).

The Project Guidelines emphasize the need to adhere to a demand-driven approach. Focusing closely on the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, the project will leverage the technical support and leadership role of standards in promoting the green and low-carbon transition of energy. The project guidelines highlight key areas and key technical requirements, and propose an energy industry standards plan.

The Project Guidelines clarify that the key project areas for the 2023 Energy Industry Standards Plan include renewable energy (photovoltaic, wind power, and solar thermal), power system security and stability, power markets, and new energy storage.
